What is the Plum Geek Ringo Robot?
...plus some lightning talks

Kent Archie

October Thursday 26th 2017 at 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Bolingbrook, Fountaindale Library, Meeting Room A

Abstract

The Plum Geek Ringo is small Arduino based robot. You can see the specs here: http://www/plumgeek.com. This device has a variety of sensors, lights and motors. This talk will cover the capabilities of this device and will show examples of developing code for the Arduino processor that drives it. Arduino code is written in C using one of several development environments (see: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/HomePage).

After Kent's talk, we are planning on having a lightning talk (or two) on topics yet to be determined. If you have a lightning talk that you would like to present, please get in touch with us (info@uniforumchicago.org) with your offer or just let us know the night of the general meeting at the library before we start.

As usual we will be having a "Meeting After the Meeting" for talk and drinks, and since the meeting is on Thursday we are planning it at the Bulldog Alehouse restaurant in Bolingbrook on Weber Rd. The link goes to the restaurant's Bolingbrook website with a clickable, expandable map.
